laughing with God

I have recently been listening to a song by Regina Spektor called, "Laughing With God". Here is a little verse of it:
No one laughs at God in a hospital
No one laughs at God in a war
No one’s laughing at God
When they’re starving or freezing or so very poor

No one laughs at God
When the doctor calls after some routine tests
No one’s laughing at God
When it’s gotten real late
And their kid’s not back from the party yet 


This may not be the actual meaning, but what i got from it is that, even if the person doesn't believe in God, when something bad happens to them, it's as if they somehow know that they shouldn't laugh at God. It is like they know that maybe he is who they can count on. Which brings me to another point that some friends and i had talked about at a bible study the other night.  God is who we can count on all the time. Our trust in him never fluctuates. We can always depend on him ad trust in him. When bad things happen in our life, it may not be easy to go to some family or friends for comfort, but God is always there to comfort us and to give us hope, that one day we will be in everlasting life with him.
