~Fear no evil~

"It is the Lord your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear." Dt. 6:13

So it is the time of the year for the English TAKS(Texas assessment of knowledge and skills). We take this every year up until our junior year, and it is quite possibly one of the easiest tests ever. There's reading and writing and they always come up with these stupid stories that are really cheesy, and everyone makes fun of them for months after the test. Well, this year the test seemed to revolve around the theme of fear, and therefore, I was inspired.
People have said, "There is nothing to fear but fear itself." The saying makes sense I guess. People fear being afraid of something, as if it makes them weak to be afraid. But, I believe that, first of all, it doesn't make you weak but it makes you brave that you can admit to being afraid of something. Secondly, as it says in the bible verse above, you should fear only God. The Lord is a jealous God and you shall have no other gods. If you fear God and put all your trust in Him, then you should have nothing else to fear because God is always with you and He will get you through whatever is troubling you.
So, look at that. Something good actually came out of the last time I had to ever take the English TAKS. Please comment and let me know your thoughts on the subject. God bless you and have a great day!
