One Step At A Time

Where am I supposed to go with my life? What am I supposed to do? What career do I want? Can I see myself marrying this person or that one?

If I'm right, and I usually am about these sorts of things, those questions have run through your mind, at least once in your life. Especially since starting college, I have found myself constantly thinking about the future, those questions in particular. The thoughts typically gear toward my job and my family. I am always thinking about how my career will affect my family, or if I really like this guy enough to marry him because if not, then why date him?
REALITY CHECK.
God has got this. Stop trying to plan out your life, piece by piece. He knows exactly who we are going to marry, what career we are going to have, where we are going to live, all of it. He knows all the answers, and He has already written your story. So, my reminder to you is to take everything one day at a time. Better yet, one step at a time. Trust in God, He knows the plans He has for you.
Often, when we are always looking ahead, we miss out on what is right in front of us. So many wonderful things happen in God's creation every day, but our vision is usually clouded by our tunnel to the future that we miss out on it all. So take the time, everyday, to stop and look around. Focus on what is happening today. Don't look back; Don't look forward, but just figure out today. And always, pray. God will put that joy in your life.

"Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths." Psalm 25: 4
